Diners at Can den Parra experience superb food, a tranquil atmosphere and have their own space to chat and relax in what is surely one of the most romantic settings in Dalt Vila.
With tables set on the gently sloping cobbled steps and vine covered terrace of the lovely old building, dinner is accompanied by views of the walled citadel, superb service and intimate conversation with your partner.
Katiana has run Can den Parra since 1994 and has made it famous not only for its fresh quality produce, delicious meat and fresh fish, but also for the style of cooking. All the grilled food is cooked over holm oak charcoal which gives it that little extra umph – just try the simply grilled Tuna or the grilled fillet steak filled with goat's cheese and note the difference.
The menu is heaven for food lovers – Foie Gras with caramelised apple or scrambled eggs with sea urchins caviar for starters, roast suckling lamb or sea bass with rosemary for the main course and crepes with apple and rum for desert are just a small example of what's in store.
The extensive wine list covers all the main regions of Spain and has around 60 whites, rosés and reds to choose from – a perfect accompaniment to a perfect meal.
Quite literally seconds away from Dalt Vila's busiest square, Can den Parra is a quiet haven of 'you time' away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist masses below.
